We're counting down, it's now 9 weeks and 5 days until Baby Bito's due date. Not that I actually expect him to come anywhere near that. I've probably said it before, but I've never gone into labor on my own, so I typically go a week or two past my due date before I'm induced. So it's probably closer to 11 weeks until he'll make his grand entrance. Which is probably a good thing, since we've done nothing to get his room ready.
Despite no progress being made on the nursery, it's been busy here. We moved Lady M out of her old bedroom and into the guest room so that Little Man can take her room. We finished painting her room earlier this week, and got most of the furniture moved in, but we've still got to put the closet system in, since for whatever reason, this closet only had a wire shelf in it.... we'll get that done soon hopefully. Here's a pic of her room right after we moved the bed in....
We still have some touch-ups and decorating to do, but she's slept in her new room for the last 2 nights, and loves it. She has her own bathroom now too, which I'm sure she'll appreciate more as she gets older.
We still haven't decided on a name for Baby Bito, but I can promise, it's not gonna be Bito :) Boss's taste in boy names is so completely different from mine (do I need to insert a "bless his heart" here?). We've asked our parents for names of our ancestors to consider, but with names like Rastus, Horace, Mervil and Marvin, it's not too promising. We've gone around and around and around, and we're finally coming up with a couple that we can agree on, but I'm pretty sure no one (including us) will know the name until after Baby Bito actually gets here.
Let's see.... what else is going on? .... we applied to refi our house, and we locked in the most amazing interest rate... are you ready for this??
3.875% for a 15 yr fixed mortgage!!! Can you believe it? I didn't until I actually got the paperwork in my hands, but it's real... so an appraiser came out to the house yesterday, and he seemed to think everything will go through fine... can I just say how awesome it is to think that our house will be paid off before Miss Priss or Baby Bito go off to college? To me, it's still unreal...
I guess that's about all I have as far as general updates go. I have an appointment tomorrow to see how me and baby are progressing. We gotta get busy on painting his room, putting the crib together, repainting his changing table, etc. Now that I'm in the last trimester, I don't feel like doing a thing, but it's a necessary evil. I think it would probably be considered child endangerment or something if I left the wall colors ""periwinkle blue" and lavender....
