I was contacted a few weeks ago about doing a review for the new line of OxiClean products, the Max Force Power Paks and the Gel Stick. I was THRILLED!!
My family is probably one of the messiest in the world. I was clumsy as a kid, and have become even more so as an adult, and apparently I passed that on to my two girls. My husband is another story all together, his stains typically being the kind that are virtually impossible to get out without using some deadly concoction of chemicals mixed together and praying for no explosion. We've had every kind of stain known to mankind appear on our clothing at one point in time or another, and sometimes, there's just nothing I can do to get them out.
Until now...
I waited until I had some worthy stains to try out the products, I mean, if it was an everyday kind of thing, it just wouldn't be the same, ya know?? So, first off, I tried the OxiClean Max Force Power Paks.
My throw pillows have been washed numerous times, but that drool outline has remained despite various stain removing sprays. I was beginning to think I needed to replace the pillows... but the OxiClean Max Force Power Paks really did their thing. All I had to do was throw it into my washer while the water was running in, add the detergent, and toss in the pillows. No sprays of any kind needed. How about that for easy! And the colors on the pillows are more vibrant than EVER!!
Here's a picture post wash (and yes, if you have these in your house, they were originally meant to be kitchen chair cushions, I just loved them so much I whacked off the strings and used them as throws). The picture quality isn't that great because I had bad lighting (it was nighttime and all I had were lamps)... but the pillows look a million times better...
NOW- on to the Max Force Gel Stick.
Since I've gotten the Gel Stick, my kids have been extremely clean (go figure!). I've had no really great stains, so I figured I'd just make some stains to test on her old PJ shirt. Here are the offending stain sources....
- Barbecue sauce
- Ketchup
- Chocolate Syrup
- Permanent Marker
- Grass (not pictured)
Here's a pic of the shirt with the stains....
Time to pretreat with the OxiClean Gel Stick...
Super easy to apply- all you have to do is press down to pump the gel onto the applicator, then rub onto the stain. The directions suggest waiting 5-10 minutes before washing, then into the washer the t-shirt goes...
And here's the result...
Pretty good right? The only stain that didn't come out was the marker on the upper right corner (you can see the design from the front showing thru a little, but all stains are gone! Anything questionable is a shadow.) I'm sold on the effectiveness of the product, and when I checked the prices in my local stores, I must say, it was VERY reasonably priced. So overall, the OxiClean Max Force Power Paks and Pre-treater Gel Stick are winners!!
Now it's your turn... do you want some for yourself? FOR FREE?????? Well, beginning today, I will be giving away the same products I reviewed to one very lucky reader!!! Here's how to enter the giveaway:
