A letter to my Baby Bito

To my sweet Lil' Bun in the Oven:

Today I found out you have the heart of a fighter. You have conquered odds that the majority of your siblings have not. You have lived past that fateful eleven weeks and five days point, and you made my day this morning waving at me in the ultrasound. I saw your little face, your arms and legs, and that hand you displayed so proudly. You're coming along so well, I'm proud of you baby!! Just seeing that little flicker of a heartbeat made my own heart leap like it hasn't in a long time. I've been silly/giddy ever since. Today you are somewhere between 13 and 14 weeks old, depending on which doctor you ask :). One thing you should know about your mama is that her body does not work according to the textbooks, that's for sure!! But that's all the more reason why it's so awesome that you are still a very much alive and squirmy little booger. I get to see you again in about five weeks, and if you'll cooperate, we may get to find out if you're going to be Little Man or the Littlest Princess. I'm hoping you'll make Mommy proud and show off those parts God's working on for you to make you who He wants you to be :)

All I know is that right now, I'm so full of joy, and love for you. You certainly made my day. And I'm gonna keep on praying for you, right up until that moment when I hear that first tiny squeal of a cry and hold your tiny little body against mine...
